Abstract

The article is devoted to the presentation of the results of a study of personnel selection and adaptation practices in the context of centralization of the main personnel management functions in a large transport company. For the study, one of the isolated subdivisions of the transport and logistics company of Russia, FESCO, was selected. This is a new type of organization for the Russian market in
the form of a transport group with locations in various cities of the country. In order to increase manageability and ensure unity of implementation of all processes in the company, many functions are centralized, including the function of personnel administration.
The tasks of providing personnel are assigned to the personnel selection department of the FESKO Service Center. The study was carried out with the aim of identifying possible areas for optimizing staffing and organizing adaptation of workers and included an analysis of approaches to this activity, a survey of employees of the entire Transport Group and specialists of the personnel service. It was established that the current practice in the selection and adaptation of personnel in the company corresponds to traditional technologies. However, at the same time, problems were identified that lead to a long-term closing of vacancies and overloading of HR managers due to the inefficiency of the organization of interaction between the specialists involved in the process.
In order to optimize the functions, the possibilities of automating the selection and adaptation of personnel are considered. It is proposed to introduce the E-Staff platform into the practice of personnel management. The mechanism of organizing work on the selection and
adaptation of personnel using this platform is described. The conclusion is made about the positive impact of the automation of recruiters on the effectiveness of the selection process and their adaptation.
